We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to play a key role in coordinating, monitoring, and executing activities for our company and subcontracted partners within the Bio/Pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing projects for Bio/Pharmaceutical facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Recurrent participation and/or coordination in different meetings such as project status, design/technical meetings and commissioning protocols executions.
- Coordinate and manage different project phases such as design, development and commissioning activities.
- As applicable, develop and manage a detailed schedule for the activities.
- Ensure activities are completed by schedule and action items are addressed.
- Follow-up on day-to-day activities with the rest of the team.
- Coordinate with plant planning and capital project resources the manufacturing windows for code deployment and commissioning protocols executions.
- Follow-up capital projects team the dependencies are on track and/or completed prior to the implementation window.
- Coordination of plant and project resources support for activities such as: Development Testing, Instrument Checkout, Automation Checkout, Functional Test and Cycle Development, etc.
- Ensure resources and/or materials are available for the protocol’s executions.
- From technical SME standpoint, support implementation activities for complex issues and/or implementations.
- Coordinate and manage testing and/or implementation activities required as part of project scope.
- Escalate any implementation that does not meet standards and/or SOPs (coding, documentation, C&Q, etc.)
- Escalate any issues to the Operations Technology Lead
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager supporting automation, manufacturing, capital projects, commissioning, qualification, or validation activities in a regulated environment.
- Experience coordinating project phases such as design, development, testing, implementation, commissioning, and closeout.
- Strong understanding of automation systems, process control systems, code deployment, and commissioning protocol execution.
- Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, C&Q, validation requirements, and documentation standards within pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to develop, manage, and track detailed project schedules, milestones, action items, dependencies, and implementation windows.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, including Automation, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Validation, Plant Planning, Capital Projects, and external resources.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and follow-up skills to ensure timely execution of project deliverables.
- Ability to identify, escalate, and support resolution of technical issues, resource constraints, and implementation risks.
- Experience supporting testing activities such as Development Testing, Instrument Checkout, Automation Checkout, Functional Testing, and Cycle Development.
- Ability to ensure required resources, materials, and approvals are available prior to execution activities.
- Proficiency with project management tools and productivity software for tracking schedules, status updates, risks, and deliverables.
- PMP certification, Lean/Six Sigma training, or experience in pharmaceutical automation projects is preferred.
